The Following Conditions Are "Off-label"
Suggested HBOT treatment parameters are to dive to a depth of 2 – 2.5 atmospheres (the equivalent of diving in water to 33 – 50 feet) for 90 minutes each dive. Multiple HBOT sessions are necessary, typically done 5 days per week, for a total of 10 to 20 dives, depending upon how one’s hearing responds. While there are no guarantee’s regarding results, as with any other medical procedure, hearing improves on average 19 to 37 dB’s for moderate to severe hearing loss respectively. This is a substantial improvement, and is enough to prevent many people from having to get a hearing aid.
Much of the damage to the brain after a Head injury occurs because brain cells are destroyed or compromised and cannot create enough energy to heal, do not get enough oxygen to act as part of the fuel needed for cellular energy, and are bathed in a soup of inflammatory chemicals that prevent the full healing process from taking place. Hyperbaric oxygen treatments address both of these issues. Breathing 100% oxygen under pressure forces the oxygen into solution, even where there is no blood. This means that cells starving for oxygen because they have little to no blood flow can finally get a major component that they need to make energy.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a super-hero when it comes to saving dying tissue that has not developed a healthy blood supply after surgery. Odds of success are significantly increased the sooner that signs of tissue death are noticed and patients are placed in an HBOT chamber. While nothing in medicine is 100% effective, the odds of tissue survival increase dramatically with HBOT, because without it, tissue survival in these cases is almost zero. For successful management of post-surgical necrosis, other than emergent surgical flaps to transfer blood supply, HBOT is basically the only game in town.
A new study from Tel Aviv University and the Shamir Medical Center in Israel indicates that hyperbaric oxygen treatments (HBOT) in healthy aging adults can stop the aging of blood cells and reverse the aging process. In the biological sense, the adults’ blood cells actually grow younger as the treatments progress.
“Today telomere shortening is considered the ‘Holy Grail’ of the biology of aging,” Professor Efrati says. “Researchers around the world are trying to develop pharmacological and environmental interventions that enable telomere elongation. Our HBOT protocol was able to achieve this, proving that the aging process can in fact be reversed at the basic cellular-molecular level.”
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for persistent Covid symptoms and long-hauler syndrome is currently undergoing clinical trials as an effective form of treatment for patients of vast medical backgrounds. Case studies from Hyperbaric treatment for long-haulers are documenting impressive results in patients suffering with brain fog, dizziness, depression, anxiety, headaches, fatigue, and can improve dysexecutive functions, with results in as few as five treatments. After the ravaging effect of Covid on the world and over 30 million patients, the results we are seeing with effective multisystem treatment approaches for patients are quite encouraging.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) can be beneficial for stroke patients by enhancing the brain’s healing process. After a stroke, the brain often suffers from oxygen deprivation, leading to tissue damage. HBOT increases the amount of oxygen in the blood, which helps reduce inflammation, promote the formation of new blood vessels, and support the brain’s natural repair mechanisms. This can lead to improvements in cognitive function, motor skills, and overall recovery
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) has been shown to help heal not only primary sports injuries, but also secondary inflammatory responses in muscles, bones and brains. Many professional athletes use HBOT to decrease the amount of time it takes to heal from their injuries.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has a multitude of benefits for athletes, including:
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) can be a valuable treatment option for individuals with Lyme disease. This therapy works by increasing the amount of oxygen in the blood, which helps to reduce inflammation, boost the immune system, and promote healing. For those suffering from Lyme disease, HBOT can alleviate symptoms such as chronic pain, fatigue, and cognitive issues, leading to an overall improvement in quality of life.
