It is a medical treatment in which the patient is entirely enclosed in a chamber and breathes 100% oxygen while the chamber pressure is increased to a pressure greater than one atmosphere (1ATA). In HBOT the patient inhales oxygen at high pressure inside a chamber. In the hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, the air pressure is raised up to 1.3 to 3 ATA which is higher than the normal atmospheric pressure 1ATA. Under these conditions, your lungs can gather more oxygen than normal conditions which dissolves in the blood plasma.
It has long been known that healing many areas of the body cannot take place without appropriate oxygen levels in the tissue. Most illnesses and injuries occur, and often linger, at the cellular or tissue level. In many cases, such as: circulatory problems; non-healing wounds; and strokes, adequate oxygen cannot reach the damaged area and the body's natural healing ability is unable to function properly. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy provides this extra oxygen naturally and with minimal side effects.
On-label conditions for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) refer to the specific medical issues that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has officially approved for treatment using HBOT. These conditions are recognized based on evidence that demonstrates the therapy’s safety and effectiveness for these particular uses. When HBOT is used for these approved conditions, it is considered an on-label use, meaning it aligns with the FDA’s guidelines and recommendations
At Integrative Hyperbaric, we explore the potential of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) beyond the traditional uses approved by the FDA. Off-label conditions for HBOT are those that haven’t yet received official approval but show promise based on emerging research and patient experiences. Many individuals have reported positive outcomes. Our approach is to integrate this innovative therapy with other treatments to provide a holistic and personalized care experience.
We Provide Medical Grade Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
We Do Not Have Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
How Long is a Session?
Each session, depending on the condition being treated, lasts 60-150 minutes.
How Many Sessions Are Needed?
This depends on the type of medical condition being treated and factors including the severity and extent of the condition and comorbidities. Typical treatment plans consist of 5-40 sessions. .
What Do I Do While I am in the Hyperbaric?
At our facility, we enhance your HBOT experience by offering Apple TV, Netflix, and YouTube, which can be viewed and heard while you relax in our HBOT chambers. Enjoy your favorite shows and videos as you undergo therapy, making your sessions both beneficial and entertaining.
Is It Safe?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a low-risk medical treatment, and it is important to discuss your medical history and current health situation with your doctors to be certain that you are 100% cleared for this type of treatment.

Covid has been on our minds and lips for the last year and a half, and unfortunately this will likely continue with the growing number of Covid Long-Haulers. Known as MIS for Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome, it’s continued symptoms relate to many organ systems continued damage even after the acute infection is resolved.
While we don’t fully know what triggers this phenomenon, it’s likely caused by the virus putting an individual’s immune system into a state of overdrive and hyper-reactivity. There is not yet conclusive data to identify who’s at risk for becoming a Long-Hauler, but there is likely underlying inflammation from a multitude of sources that acts as a catalyst, and possibly genetic predispositions.
• Headache
• Fatigue/weakness
• Brain Fog
• Insomnia
• Anxiety/Depression
• Shortness of breath/chest pain
• Decreased kidney function
• Heart palpitations
• Loss of taste/smell
• Joint/muscle pain
• Dizziness
• Many others…
1. Decrease systemic inflammation
2. Modulate the immune system
3. Increase cellular energy production
4. Eliminate damaged cells (known as Autophagy)
5. Repair damaged tissues
6. Balance the nervous system
1. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy long-hauler case studies are reflecting rapid improvements by reversing hypoxia, reducing neuro-inflammation, improving tissue oxygenation and much more.
2. Potent anti-inflammatory nutraceuticals include Omega-3 EPA/DHA fish oil, Curcumin, Boswellia, MSM, Resveratrol and Glutathione.
3. Strong immune system modulators include Zinc + Quercetin, Vitamin D3 (should be taken with vitamins A and K), Andrographis, and Cordyceps.
4. Autophagy is activated by fasting daily for 12 hours or more and keeping protein intake intermittently low. Supplements that can assist with cellular energization include CoEnzyme Q10 with PQQ, D-Ribose and L-Carnitine.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for persistent Covid symptoms and long-hauler syndrome is currently undergoing clinical trials as an effective form of treatment for patients of vast medical backgrounds. There are also many things to consider for individuals from a functional medicine perspective, including intestinal barrier permeability, hormone balance, gut microbiome, silent infections, toxins, and others that can affect recovery.
Case studies from Hyperbaric treatment for long-haulers are documenting impressive results in patients suffering with brain fog, dizziness, depression, headaches, fatigue, weakness and oxygen saturation, with results in as few as five treatments. After the ravaging effect of Covid on the world and over 30 million patients, the results we are seeing with effective multisystem treatment approaches for patients are quite encouraging.
